Terms of use

These terms cover use of the mirroview app and this website.

Effective October 2, 2026. Last updated October 18, 2026.

Sharing and responsibility

Use mirroview only when you have the right to share the content and both people agree to the session. The sender starts screen sharing and authorizes screen capture through the iOS or iPadOS system interface. Either person can end a session.

Before sharing your screen, check for notifications, messages, personal information, and anything else you do not want the viewer to see. The viewer may take screenshots, record their screen, or photograph the display. Do not assume content becomes private again after it has been shown.

Connection and content limits

Both iPhones or iPads must run iOS or iPadOS 17 or newer. For your first connection, use the same reachable local Wi-Fi network and keep Wi-Fi enabled on both devices. The app also includes an authenticated nearby screen-sharing route, but it does not guarantee video connectivity in every router-free or mixed-network setup. Internet access is not required for a local video session. Discovery or pairing alone does not guarantee a video connection. Performance and availability vary with device, system version, wireless conditions, and system permissions. Some protected content may be hidden or blocked by iOS, iPadOS, or the source app. mirroview does not transmit audio.

Availability and updates

Updates may be required. If you use a prerelease or beta version of mirroview, its features may change, pause, or stop working. Do not rely on the app for safety-critical monitoring, emergency communication, or preserving evidence.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to share content without required consent, violate another person's privacy or rights, or break applicable law. You are responsible for what you choose to show and for any content you save as a viewer.

Disclaimers and rights

We provide the app and site as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular frame rate, or compatibility with every device, network, or protected app. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by network failure, interrupted capture, or a viewer's actions. These terms do not exclude or limit rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms where the law permits. If you have a question, email mirroview@liljackson.org.
